I set up at weather station at Nitinat Lake for
the Canada Day Long Weekend. Unfortunately, the low pressure system that
was supposed to spin itself out in the northern interior reformed off the
north end of Vancouver Island and then spun down the backbone of the island.
It was a fairly weak low so we still got some wind. It was generally
a big board and big sail weekend. Sunday was the best of the three days.
I sailed my 6.0 on a Go Board both Sunday and Monday. Most of Saturday
was spent sitting around waiting for better wind, but it was perfect for
the kite sailors.
