A program of shorts selected to show a broad range of styles and to give voice to the experience of mental illness. Included will be Sea of Souls by
Chantelle Tucker, Driven to Create by Linda Downey and Michele Ryan's Pride. The first half will end with a Shakespearean parody The Taming Of The Shrink.
After the break, two films by Clive Holden, a Winnipeg multi media artist; Gordon's Head, reflections by a sibling on his family's experience, Clive's brother being severely affected by schizophrenia, and a new film 18,000 Dead in Gordon Head. 18,000 refers to the number of violent deaths seen by young people in their careers as TV watchers (6,000 more were added on Sept 11).
All the films are very provocative points of departure for discussion. That's the thing that Movie Monday's REEL MADNESS Film Fest is famous for. Filmmakers will be on hand for Q & As.
