2009 Season Ends for Premier Squad

It was a tough weekend for the lads of the Victoria United Premier team, who traveled to the Okanagan the weekend of July 18/19 in a last ditch effort to secure a spot in the finals. Sadly, they were not able to catch any of the points needed to ensure a berth, falling just 2 points behind the fourth place team.
It was definitely a difficult season for this relatively "new" team, who learned a lot from the veterans who returned to help out the team. An email sent to the players from manager, Steve Hodges, says it all, "my respect and admiration goes out to those who were there at the beginning and saw a difficult and frustrating season through to the end".
