2009 Season ends for Reserve Squad

Our Victoria United Reserve squad travelled to the Okanagan this week in an attempt to bring home the Challenge Cup trophy. Sadly, it was not to be.
The skies opened up as the young U21 lads took to the field against 2nd place Coquitlam Metro-Ford in a game Victoria clearly dominated. Although Coquitlam scored first to take the lead, Victoria rookie Nils Webber easily matched their goal. Neither team was able to score again in regulation time. Coquitlam's only goal in overtime was unchallenged by Victoria and the game would end 2 - 1.
Coach Nick Daniel was pleased with the boys performance...they played well, it was just an unfortunate loss in a game that could have gone either way.
