Intro: Alarm is a batch-type application which runs under windows. It acts like an alarm clock, playing wave-files until clicked. The delay between sounds can be set by the user. A selection of short wave-files is included (NAMED DOS-STYLE!) Install: Create the folder/directory «C:\Program Files\Alarm\». If zipped unzip «WAVES.zip» to the directory «\Alarm\WAVES\». Copy remaining folders/directories and files to «\Alarm\». Put one shortcut to the run_loop in its directory. From «Alarm2.bsh» right-click|make shortcut, call it «RunMe». Right-click again and select Open With|Chooe Program... select BATSH.EXE. This associates the file extension and program. Put a shortcut to «Scheduled tasks», and give it a name like "Alarm". In scheduled tasks you set the «RunMe.lnk» to be started. The run link will start the alarm batsh file «Alarm2.bsh». In theory you could start the batch file, but it works better this way. You can set single or regular events from the schedular :-) There is a calander, and one may use multiple schedules. Set a link diectly to the Alarm2.bsh file and name it "Volume Test" or somesuch. This a handy test. Good. mo.04 Semper sursum. ps. The AT command is to be used to make a new version for those not using scheduled tasks. This version should work for Win98,2000,XP. I am planning to make installer scripts for Alarm ,PC-lynx, & PC-Pine. mob®.04
