The high frequency radio operating (HF) event for FRG01 will be similar to other operating contests--try to contact as many other stations in a fixed time as possible--with a few interesting variations. The Friendship Radio Games emphasize having fun and learning about other people, so the HF contest has the teams each operating in a local HF station for about an hour. Then, all the teams stop and rotate among the stations and operate there for about an hour, and so forth until all teams have visited all of the stations. The scoring includes multipliers for countries, and for sister cities contacted.
